Can you burn Ps2 Games and play it on the ps3?

I couldn’t play a ps2 game on my ps3 because of region restrictions, so if i download and burn one that has the same region will it work?

you cant burn a PS2 game; the PS3 has sophisticated security and won’t allow pirated games. if you obtain these legally it should work IF your PS3 is backwards compatible. Only the old ps3′s are backwards compatible…the new ones dont play any ps2 games, as sony removed backwards compatibility.
